Single-sided self-adhesive aluminum foil
This material consists of a single layer of aluminum foil coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side, protected by a release liner for easy handling before application.
1. Key Features:
Excellent EMI/RFI Shielding: The aluminum layer provides effective protection against electromagnetic and radio frequency interference.
Strong Adhesion: High-tack pressure-sensitive adhesive ensures secure bonding to cable jackets or cores.
Flexible & Conformable: Easily wraps around irregular shapes and small diameters without cracking.
Moisture & Chemical Resistant: Acts as a barrier to moisture, vapor, and some chemicals, enhancing cable durability.
Optional Conductive Adhesive: For electrical continuity in shielding and grounding.
2. Applications in Cable Industry:
Shielding Layer: For LAN cables, coaxial cables, control cables, and instrumentation cables.
Grounding and Wrapping: Provides a grounding path and improves signal integrity.
Repair and Reinforcement: Used in shielding repairs or reinforcing the outer jacket in fieldwork or production lines.
Anti-interference Wrapping: In sensitive electronic or data transmission cables.

4. Application
Aluminum polyester tape is used in environments with magnetic fields but minimal electromagnetic interference or static discharge. It is commonly applied in the shielding of communication cables, data cables, coaxial cables, internet cables, and signal cables. When combined with appropriate coatings, it can be utilized for both assembly-level shielding and grounding applications after being cut to size.
5. Electrical Characteristics
This material is primarily designed to provide protection against electromagnetic interference (EMI), particularly effective in the 1–100 MHz frequency range. When used with Mylar foil, it can achieve shielding attenuation levels of up to 70 dB.
Color: Common color is blue and silver, can also be made red, green, gold, etc., according to customer’s needs, and can also printing and printed twill according to customer needs.
